About Us

Safehands Directors and staff have over 30 years of experience of working within all areas of Social Welfare and a wealth of experience in supporting young care leavers in independent living. Accredited to all of the North West Councils and active members of the North West Forum Pilot, we have implemented new policy and procedures in line with government strategies for the future.
'Every Child Matters'

Directors and founders Dennis Fletcher and Toni Kinsella have worked within social welfare for over 40 years collectively, gaining a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge. All of the management team have degree level qualifications in either Business or Social Care and Welfare. All other staff have NVQ level 3 or are working towards NVQ level 3 in Working with Children and Young People.

Our team of outreach workers have a back ground in working with young people and demonstrate skills in; child development, community involvement, youth justice, advocacy, motivational techniques, parenting, sexual health issues, assessment, engagement, observation and record keeping etc. All our staff are committed to providing the best possible service for the young people they work alongside.

We aim to ensure that all the members of our team access a variety of training and developmental opportunities to equip them with the experience, qualifications, knowledge and skills to deliver a quality service to young people. All staff attend Safeguarding training and have full CRB Disclosures.

Our Team

Denny has extensive experience of working in all areas of social work in central London and has worked in the North West since 2002 specifically in the area of independent living. He is currently a Director of Safehands.

Toni has more than 10 years experience working in the North West in residential and community settings. She has gained extensive experience both at a senior and management level working with children in care and leaving care, equipping her for her role as Director of Safehands.

Operations Manager Gail Kitchen has worked within the social care environment and with vulnerable young people for more than 15 years, gaining a wide range of skills and experience.
